Adamawa State Governor, the Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has reiterated his administration's commitment to restoring electricity in the Northern parts of the state.

Receiving the Mbege Ka Michika, HRM Professor Bulus Luka Gadiga, on a homage to Governor Fintiri in his Gulak residence on Friday, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri emphasised that significant efforts have been deployed for the affected local government areas to get connected to the national grid.

The Governor noted the effect the vandalism had on the electricity supply and, consequently, on the economy of the communities. He stated that when electricity is restored, economic activity will be boosted.

The electricity restoration will include Madagali, Michika, and parts of Hong Local Government Areas, which were vandalised by insurgents.

The Governor encouraged the people of Michika Chiefdom to rally support for the developmental progress of the College of Health Science and Technology located in the Chiefdom. He announced that more resources have been allocated by his administration for the upliftment of the tertiary institution.

The Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri charged the Michika Chiefdom to maximally rally support for their High Chief to combat security threats in Michika. He drew the attention of the Chiefdom to the effect of harbouring criminals and its threat to the state's development.

He assured that his administration will not relent in its efforts to safeguard the lives and properties of the citizenry.

Earlier speaking, the Mbege Ka Michika, HRM Professor Bulus Luka Gadiga, said he and his subjects were at Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri's residence to thank him for his administration's developmental strides in Michika. He said that projects executed in Michika have transformed the Chiefdom and its people.

The royal father stated that Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri's security architecture has yielded positive results in Michika, allowing the people to sleep with their two eyes closed and go about their lawful businesses.
