FG distributes 20 lorries of rice to 36 States, FCT

In a bid to tackle the current food shortages plaguing the nation, the Federal Government of Nigeria has distributed twenty lorries of rice to each of the thirty-six states within the Federation, alongside the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) of Abuja.

This announcement came following the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on Monday, delivered by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris.

Mr. Idris emphasised that this initiative marks the initial stage of the government's plan to address the food crisis. 

He implored the governors to ensure the efficient distribution of these provisions to the most vulnerable members of society.
